COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

Bettering the lives of those in our communities is simply what we do, through partnership, volunteerism and leadership that makes a meaningful social impact. Valley First and Enderby & District is proud of its strong communities and continues to collaborate with local partners to support initiatives that align with our values and goals.

As an organization, we have found alignment between our purpose and Sustainable Development Goals (see list below), where we concentrate our efforts and support, with a focus on programming. Community Partners are asked to measure social impact with viable metrics for us to assess, adapt and evaluate our impact across the organization. Through this work, we have identified our 4 areas of focus to be:.

Food insecurity

We work in partnership to reduce food insecurity for individuals and families by supporting long-term programs, building organizational capacity, and empowering local sustainable agricultural initiatives.

Mental health

Support and increase access to effective active mental health services, while driving innovation in mental health care for improved treatments and support systems.

Employment readiness
